How to Delete Temporary Files in Windows 10 Using Settings
Step 1. Select settings from the start menu.
Step 2. Click on “System” tab in settings.
Step 3. Then click on “Storage” on the left-hand pane.
Step 4. Click on the drive where you have your Windows 10 installed.
Step 5. A new window will open which will calculate the storage usage on the Disk. This may take a few seconds. Once it is completed, scroll down and click on “Temporary Files”.
Step 6. Click on it, then it will show you the size of temporary files on your Pc. Click on “Delete Temporary Files”. Before deleting, Windows will confirm if you want to proceed. Click on “Yes, I am sure”. After a while, your temporary files will be deleted.
How to Delete Temporary Files in Windows 10 Using the Run option
Step 1. Pressing the Windows key and ‘R’ and a ‘Run’ dialogue box will open. Or Type in “Run” in the search menu and press ‘Enter’.
Step 2. Type %temp% in the Run dialogue box and hit “Enter” to open the temporary files folder.
Step 3. Temp folder will open, click “Ctrl + A” to select all temp files and hit “Delete” or “Shift + Delete”.
Note. You won’t be able to delete each of the temp files so skip the last few ones.
How to Delete Temporary Files in Windows 10 Using Disk Cleaner
Step 1. Open File Explorer and then click on “This PC”.
Step 2. Right-click on the drive where you have installed your windows 10. Click on “Properties”.
Step 3. Once Properties window for the drive is open, click on “Disk Cleaner” under the General tab.
Step 4. Disk Cleanup will calculate the space on disk and open a window with all the type of files available. Just tick “Temporary files” & “Thumbnail”. Then click “OK”. Disk Cleanup will delete your Temporary files.
