Preview is one of those tools that is included as standard on all Macs and that we often belittle. The application is more powerful than it may seem at first and can save our asses on more than one occasion. Did you know that it is possible to crop images in OS X Preview? In the following lines, we explain how this functionality of the “Swiss Army Knife” of every Mac is used.

As we said, Preview is not only for viewing photos, PDFs or other types of files. The application also has some editing tools and cropping is one of them. Thanks to this functionality it is possible to keep only a piece of an image. It is true that we could do it by copying and pasting only that piece in a new file with any other editing software, but there is really no need to do it and this way we can save valuable seconds every time we have to cut an image.
