How to Setup PS4 Controller on PC via Bluetooth
Step 1. First, you open the DS4Windows application.
Step 2. Then from the system tray, you right-click on Bluetooth Devices and tap on “Add a Bluetooth Device” option.
Step 3. Note: In case you are using Windows 10, you need to click on Add Bluetooth or other device and after that Bluetooth to obtain discoverable devices, i.e., your PS4 controller.
Step 4. Now you have to pair your Bluetooth dongle with your DualShock4 controller. To do this, hold the Share as well as the PlayStation button for 3 seconds, or till you see the light bar at the above of the controller viewed in a double blinking style.
Step 5. Later, you tap on the Wireless Controller to pair your PS4 controller with your system’s built-in Bluetooth device or your wireless USB dongle.
Note: Windows 7 and older users, may be required to enter a pairing code, for which you just type in 0000.
Step 6. Finally, to use the PS4 controller to pc, you tap on the “Done” button when the device pairs. You can check the light bar at the top of the controller to verify that the PS4 controller is connected.
How to Pair PS4 Controller to PC via USB Cable
Step 1. First, you extract the downloaded DS4Windows zip file.
Step 2. Then open DS4Windows.exe. You can choose to save this file either in Program Folder or AppData.
Step 3. Further, you have to click on “Step 1: Install the DS4 Driver” option for installing the required PS4 drivers on your Windows system.
Step 4. After that, you click on “Step 2: If on Windows 7 or below, Install 360 Driver” option from the screen.
Note: It is only used when you have a Windows 7 or older OS. Else you can skip this step and continue to the following step.
Step 5. Now click Finish when the installation completes and then connect your PS4 controller to your computer using a micro USB cable.
Note: The Controllers tab on the DS4Windows must display an Xbox 360 controller on it. Or, you have to click the Stop button found at the below right-hand corner. Close the DS4Windows app, and open it once again.
