How to Change Download Location Windows 10
Let’s understand how to change download location win 10.
Step 1. First, go to Start menu and click on the gear icon which will open settings panel for you. As shown in the below image:
Step 2. Then you tap on the System option from the given list.
Step 3. Further, you have to select the Storage option from the left panel of the window. See in the below image:
Step 4. At the storage, section click on the “Change where the new content is saved” option found under the More storage settings. Check the below image:
Step 5. Afterwards, on the new page, you can change the default save location in Windows 10 by choosing storage space for every kind of download, i.e., apps, docs, music, photos, etc.
Step 6. By default, the settings are saved on C drive, so, tap on the drop-down arrow below the segment for which you want to change the storage settings. Let’s say change settings for documents, as we have shown in the below image:
Step 7. Now from the list of options select your desired storage location to save the files as we selected Local Disk (E:) in the image below.
Step 8. Finally, tap on the Apply button to save the new setting. As shown in the image below:
Step 9. That’s it; your storage settings on Windows 10 will now change successfully.
