How to Adjust ClearType for Better Looking Fonts on Windows 10

Method 1. Adjusting ClearType using the search bar

Step 1. Search “Adjust Clear Text” in the search box. Select Adjust Clear type text from the search result.

Step 2. Check the “Turn on ClearType” & click on “Next”.

Step 3. Windows then ask you to select your native Display and a few examples of how your new font will look on Windows 10. Choose the one which suits you and click Next to continue the process.

Step 4. After a few steps, the font will be tuned. You can confirm the action by clicking “Finish”.

Method 2. Opening Adjust ClearType using the Setting option

Step 1. Open settings using Start Menu. Then select “System” option.

Step 2. In the new dialog box, under the “Display” tab, select “Advanced Display Setting”.

Step 3. Then select “ClearType Text” in Advanced Display Setting.

Step 4. Follow steps 3 and 4 from method 1.

Step 1. Open control panel.

Step 2. Select “Large Icons” under view category. Then click on the Display option.

Step 3. Click on “Adjust ClearType Text” in the left-hand side panel.
